Local MediaInformation Sharing: Local media broadcast video images and planned road closure information provided by WSDOT and local agencies.
Local Transit AgenciesInformation Sharing: Provides scheduled and real-time transit information to local ISPs for multi-modal traveler information.
Local Transportation AgenciesInformation Sharing: In jurisdictions where a local ATIS is operational or planned, both entities can benefit from the sharing of video, data, and device status. Information sharing between a local agencies and the TMC enables both to provide more complete information to travelers.
ODOT Region 1Information Sharing: As WSDOT works to provide cross-state traveler information, another crucial step is information sharing with DOTs in bordering states and British Columbia. WSDOT in Southwest Washington already works closely with the Oregon Department of Transportation to coordinate traveler information for commuters between Vancouver and Portland.
Other 3rd party traffic infomration providersInformation Sharing: In a pilot project, SWR will procure 3rd party real-time traffic flow data for select local arterials.
TravelersInformation Sharing: Travelers receive static and dynamic information via the Personal Information Acess, Vehicle and Remote Traveler Support subsystems. In-Vehicle traveler information systems are a future application.
WSDOT HeadquartersInformation Sharing: WSDOT Headquarters operates and maintains the statewide ATIS, which gathers travel information from the regions and outputs it via 511 and the WSDOT web site.
WSDOT Southwest Region (SWR)Operations: The WSDOT SWR TMC operates the roadside equipment that provide data to the ATMS.
Information Sharing: The WSDOT SWR TMC shares information with local agencies, transit, media, etc.
